Atlantic Coast Conservancy Green Ribbon

Keep Pickens Beautiful is pleased to present the Green Ribbon Award to Atlantic Coast Conservancy located at 80 South Main Street for September 2019.

This organization is under the leadership of Dr. Robert Keller, Ph.D., D, President. The mission of the Atlantic Coast Conservancy is to provide 21st Century solutions and sound scientific applications for conservation of critical natural resources in the face of a changing climate focusing on the Southeastern United States with specific utilization of geographic information systems applications in land conservation, ecosystems services, carbon sequestration, and conservation biology. This organization was created to rapidly respond to present-day conservation needs in areas previously underserved by the land trust community.

The KPB Green Ribbon Award is given to a selected individual, group, club or business in Pickens County in recognition of outstanding example of a program, project or activities that protect or enhance our community’s environment through promotion, support or furtherance of the KPB goals.
