SUMMARY:Edible Jasper Spring Planting
DESCRIPTION:Spring is here!  It’s time to get our hands dirty in the Edible Jasper gardens! \n\n\n\nWe have been growing lots of cold-tolerant plants to get started – pak choi\, chamomile\, dill\, swiss chard\, cabbage\, and more. \n\n\n\nFor this first Edible Jasper workshop of the season\, we’re going to start at our office.  We recently cleared out the shrubs from under the arbors\, so now they’re ready for some plants!  We have pak choi\, chamomile\, swiss chard\, dill\, hyssop\, blueberries\, and hardy kiwi to get started.  We will also relocate some of the plants from the road-side garden to under the arbors.   \n\n\n\nCome learn about sustainable plant selection\, how to split and relocate existing mature plants\, and we’ll explore the effects of this winter’s freeze on some of our plants (like our big mama rosemary) and how we plan to help them recover (if possible). \n\n\n\nThis is a drop-in event\, so if you can’t come for the entire time\, that’s fine! There’s plenty to do so come help when you can. \n\n\n\nSee you in the garden! \n\n\n\nApril is KPB’s Great American Cleanup month – We’ll have workshops and activities each weekend in April\, so come lend a hand\, improve our community\, meet new friends\, and have fun!
