SUMMARY:Edible Pickens Garden Planting - Progress Garden
DESCRIPTION:Volunteer in our Edible Pickens Gardens every weekend in April as part of the Greatest American Cleanup For America’s 250th! \n\n\n\nOur third Edible Pickens workshop in April will happen at the Pickens Progress gardens in the Pickens County Progress parking lot. We will do some garden maintenance\, like weeding\, pruning and fertilizing existing plants\, while also adding new seeds and some new plant babies in each garden. Adding a fresh layer of mulch at the end will not only make these gardens look cleaned up\, but will also help hold in moisture and nutrients to help the garden thrive! \n\n\n\nNo experience necessary.All ages\, bring the family!Tools and water will be provided.Just show up and have some fun with us!Park anywhere in the Progress parking lot.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 4th annual Earth Day on Main celebration! This year\, we will be celebrating right in the parking lot at the KPB Office. Each year this event is a little different depending on our current focuses and programs. This year we will not be including vendors\, and will focus on eco-friendly activities and educational workshops for the whole family! \n\n\n\nWe are also curating a local plant swap\, just dig one up from your yard and swap it with one you might not have from someone else in the community! We will also be celebrating the efforts of all of the Litter-O-Lympics participants with medals and prizes for who collected the most litter in the competition. Help us celebrate their amazing efforts! (It’s not too late to participate if you want to join in the fun\, the competition ends April 18th.) \n\n\n\nIf you are interested in teaching the community something special or maybe have a fun eco-friendly craft you’d like to include\, please contact us!
