We offer weekly community service hours  at different locations every Sunday from 2-4pm. We have more than 10 edible gardens that need caring for. We also need help on other days of the week with trash clean-ups, recycling events, community festivals and lots more. Our needs change with the seasons. KPB Teens are notified of opportunities each week and can opt in or out; it’s that simple! No long-term commitment required.  Certification of completed volunteers hours is provided on request.

Win-win for high school students and the community

Donating time to beautify and improve the community we live in is rewarding and enriching for young people who grow to care about the health of their hometown. Community service hours are increasingly important for high school students to add to applications for college, jobs, internships, scholarships and awards. It can be tricky to find non-profits that offer volunteer opportunities that fit into a teen’s busy schedule. With KPB, the opportunities are continuous and flexible, varying from day-long events to a few hours a month. In addition, students gain experiences they can write about for college essays and interviews.
