Don't Be Trashy, Be a Trashlete.
The Litter-O-Lympics is Pickens County’s annual litter pick-up competition where you and a team can help us rid the county of unsightly litter… and win prizes, medals, and bragging rights!
This year, Litter-O-Lympics will happen at your own pace during the Greatest American Cleanup & America’s 250th Anniversary Celebration. It kicks off at our first group litter cleanup event on March 7th and runs all the way until April 18th, when we will celebrate Earth Day on Main!
Individuals and teams alike will compete for prizes, which will be announced throughout the event.
All participants will receive a t-shirt and other fun swag.
Litter-O-Lympics Point System
Earn Points for
- Gallons of Litter Collected – 1pt per each 10 gallons
- Miles Walked – 2pts per mile
- Time Spent Collecting Litter – 1pt per each 1/2 hour
- Social Media Sharing – 1pt per post (max 1 post per pickup)
- Large Items Found – 2pts per item (mush be moved to the roadside for the county to pick up)
- Extra Points for attending KPB Litter Cleanup Events – 5pts

How can You participate in the Litter-O-Lympics?
Participate
- Bring yourself or a Team of Trashletes.
- Friends, family, coworkers & neighbors encouraged!
- Trashletes must be over the age of 13 or accompanied by a parent.
- Fund a team – $250
- Contribute items to the raffle prize pot for our Trashletes
- Sponsor the event – $500+
