Edible Pickens: Library Garden Fall Planting
November 5 @ 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
If you think planting a garden is only for the springtime, think again! There are plenty of herbs and vegetables the love the cool weather of the fall and winter, especially in the mild climate we have here in Georgia. Join us as we plant some cool weather plants in our “Pizza Garden” at the Pickens County Library! Bring your kids, as this garden was created for them to have a space to learn about gardening, and what better place than at the library.
This garden was developed in April this year, so it is still a work in progress. It takes time for the soil to regulate and become a thriving environment for food to grow and flourish. It is situated safely in the parking lot of the Library, a perfect space for your littles to play in the garden. We hope to see you there!
Registration is not required but encouraged.
No experience necessary!
All plants, tools and supplies are supplied by Keep Pickens Beautiful.
