Hard-To-Recycle Items Event
March 14 @ 11:00 am – 4:00 pm

Do you wish you could recycle Styrofoam? How about florescent tube lights??? On March 14th, KPB is hosting a “Hard-to-Recycle” items event at the Pickens County Recycle Center (on Appalachian Court) from 11am-4pm where we will collect these hard to recycle items and recycle them for you.
Where are your ‘hard to recycle’ materials going? CHARM is a recycling facility in Atlanta that accepts a wide range of materials, so we will take your items there for you since it’s a bit of a drive from here, to save you the drive. 😁🚚♻️
Items that will be accepted*:
Styrofoam
Florescent tube lights**
Corrugated plastic signs
Shrink wrap
(FREE OF CHARGE)
This event will kickoff the Great American Cleanup months of March and April! Check out our Calendar for scheduled events, and keep an eye on our socials for upcoming events to help us celebrate the 2025 Great American Cleanup.
*We will have one truck on site for the materials. We will only accept what will fit; once the truck is full, no more materials will be accepted. Get there early! **tube lights – up to 5 free; additional $0.50 each
